This weekend marks the 39th Annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival running from Friday, Oct. 11th to Monday Oct. 14th. The festival boasts 130 artisans showing off their artistic works including pottery, paintings, jewelry, lawn ornaments and clothing.
Ball’s Falls has some beautiful and serene displays of nature, especially its well-known waterfall. Families and guests come from all over to take part in the festivities and to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. New this year is the opportunity to show off your musical and vocal talents. Many people in the community asked for a chance to perform live music in front of a live audience and so, a small stage was created just for this occasion. Who doesn’t love some good old-fashioned karaoke?!
This event is a huge fundraiser for the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and helps them to continue their conservation programs around the area. The NPCA ensures the conservation, restoration and responsible management of Niagara’s water, land and natural habitats.
