Mayor Dave Augustyn and town councillors were on site Monday for the ground breaking of Rosewood Estates, the first development to take place in East Fonthill.
The development, located on Rice Road just south of Merritt Road, will be home to 55 architecturally controlled residences thanks to a combined effort between Rinaldi Homes and Hert Incorporated. There will be a variety of bungalow and two-storey home plans being offered on 50′ – 58′ wide lots, starting at $399,000.
One of the biggest issues facing the town will be maintaining the small town feel, while at the same time, continuing to grow. This is something the mayor and councillors have talked about at great depths and something they will continue to focus on moving forward. They hope to be able to integrate the East Fonthill Secondary plan in such a way that it compliments the surrounding area and adds upon what is already there.
Just like Rinaldi Homes’ Welland townhome site, Coyle Creek, Rosewood Estates will also feature Holmes Approved Homes and will offer buyers six unique home designs of varying sizes.
