Step out in style for the Niagara Peach Festival this weekend, happening on Queen Street in old town Niagara-on-the-Lake! This annual event brings out the community in the name of our (second, if you count the wine grapes!) most famous fruit for a two-day festival of good food, good times and great people.

How can you get your celebration on at this year’s festivities? We have broken down the schedule of events to keep your weekend full of fun… just peachy, right?!

Saturday August 10
11:00am – 11:00pm

11:00am – 4:30pm
The heritage district will be alive between Queen Street, King Street and Victoria Street as the roadway is closed to vehicular traffic and transformed into a beautiful, walkable space full of live music, historic displays, entertainment for every member of the family and plenty of Niagara greenbelt-grown peaches. The best part? Admission is FREE!

5:00pm – 10:00pm
The peachy celebration is just getting started as the Night Market revs up and local merchants line the streets showcasing their one-of-a-kind goods to peruse, appreciate and purchase! That isn’t all that you can get up to – there is also live music from the popular Il Poco Latino and decadent nibbles from some Niagara favourites including:

• Escabeche (Prince of Wales Hotel)
• The Cannery (Pillar and Post)
• Tiara (Queens Landing)
• Peller Estate Winery

No Niagara celebration would be complete without the flow of local wine. Participating wineries include:

• Peller Estates
• Reif Estate Winery
• Inniskillin
• Jackson Triggs
• Trius
• Oast House (okay, this is beer… but it is REALLY good beer!)

Sunday August 11
11:00am – 11:00pm

10:00am – 3:30pm
Kick off the day with the Peach Festival on Picton Street hosted by St. Vincent de Paul Church. This celebration will include plenty of kids activities like face painting, balloon animals, reptiles, clowns, crafts and more! Get your bellies full of barbeque goodness with hamburgers and hot dogs from Pig Out, and enjoy some live entertainment by Linda and Jackie while you dine! This festival will also feature peach items aplenty for the shopper in you, a jewelry table, and a bake table. Just to get your peachy keen sense of deliciousness peaked, some of these goods will include:

• Peach punch
• Peach crepes
• Peach jam
• Peach pies
• Peach sundaes

10:00am – 5:00pm
The walkable space will continue on Queen Street with the shops of Niagara-on-the-Lake taking to the street with tents of their beautiful wares. Be on the look out for Peach Festival pricing to help you get your fabulous on for less.

The highlight of the event just might be the Shades of Summer Dinner that will be held outdoors on Queen Street between King and Regent. Tables of eight can be reserved for $240 and you have the choice of being catered by one of the Signature Niagara-on-the-Lake restaurants or to displaying your own culinary creativity. Tables are dressed in white linen, wine and beer will flow (this is not a BYOB, you will be ordering from the selections available on the website and the swing and jazz music will take you through the moonlit night. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that is quintessentially Niagara!
