The era of the War of 1812 came to life at Fort George on Wednesday, June 13 at Fort George with a visit from the cast and crew of Canada AM. On hand for the special live broadcast were not only a crowd of enthusiastic Niagara viewers but also a class of excited local school children who’d spent the previous night sleeping in the barracks.
Said host Marci Ien, “It’s so exciting to see kids get involved in learning about our country and its history!”
While popular weatherman Jeff Hutcheson fired a cannon and Beverly Thomson learned some 19th century cooking tips Marci Ien checked out the fashions of the day.
If you weren’t able to be on hand for the June 13th event, you haven’t missed out! Naturally in Niagara was on hand and has video footage for you of the biggest highlights. Just click and enjoy!
