It’s hard to believe we are almost at the end of 2014 and 2015 is fast approaching. To bring in the new year with the excitement it deserves, Niagara Falls is playing host Canada’s Largest New Year’s Bash with an unforgettable concert line-up including Keith Urban, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes and Lights. Last year’s show had 50,000 attendees and was the most viewed in Canada with viewership peaking at 3.4 million.
New Zealander Keith Urban will be the head-liner for the night and rightfully so, being one of the biggest country stars in the last decade. Urban has released nine studio albums and 31 charted singles, with 16 of the singles hitting #1. He is also widely known on television for his coaching role on Australia’s The Voice and as a judge on American Idol.
Nick Jonas will also be a part of this incredible line-up, most well known as the youngest of the Jonas Brothers. Jonas recently released his incredibly popular song Jealous that peaked at #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, #9 on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 and #11 on Billboard Canadian Hot 100. Nick Jonas is thrilled to be a part of the big night and has said “It’s going to be an unforgettable night”.
Shawn Mendes rose to popularity in 2013 through the social media app Vine, posting short clips of popular song renditions. He quickly gained millions of views and followers and gained the attention of artist manager Andrew Gertler. From there Mendes released his first single Life of the Party and became the youngest artist to debut in the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Lights is back in Niagara again after being one of the headliners for St. Catharines’ S.C.E.N.E. music festival. Signing at the young age of 15, Lights is known for her synthesis of youthful, sellable alt-rock and contemporary synth pop. She recently released her third studio album which showed a return to a more stripped down and melodic sound.
