On December 31, 2013, ring in the new year at Niagara Parks. With another incredible line-up and two breath-taking fireworks displays, there’s no better place to be than Queen Victoria Park. This years’ line-up will see Demi Lovato, Serena Ryder and Sam Roberts Band.
Lovato started in show business at a young age with a recurring role on Barney & Friends. She rose quickly and at age 15, was a full time TV star with a promising singing career. Lovato has had a phenomenal start to 2013 with first week sales of 215,000. “Heart Attack”, from her latest record Demi, debuted as #1 on the iTunes’ chart in over 25 countries and #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ryder began singing at age 7 in Legion Halls and motor hotels. At age 13 she learned to play the guitar and song writing efforts followed. By 15, she was playing old classic and folk tunes in coffee houses and legion halls. Since then, Ryder has won three Juno awards and released two gold albums. This year she won the 2013 Juno for the Best Adult Alternative Album for Harmony, which then became platinum in early 2013.
Sam Roberts is a Juno award winning Canadian rock singer-songwriter, whose 2001 debut release, The Inhuman Condition, became one of the best-selling independent releases in Quebec and Canadian music history. Roberts initially had some difficulty gaining traction with his first band Northstar, but persevered and began his rise to fame with his first single “Brother Down” in 2002. Since then, he has captured 6 Juno awards from categories such as Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.
Celine Dion will also be there to add a touch of Las Vegas to ET Canada’s New Year’s Eve at Niagara Falls special. The Canadian chanteuse will appear in a videotaped performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace during the live show.
