Niagara Falls will play host to Comic Con on June 8th and 9th at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. This event, presented by Niagara College, will showcase all kinds of exciting things including celebrities, the Batcopter (we aren’t kidding!) and of course Comic Book artists aplenty. Here is our must see list of attractions at this quickly approaching event:

Adam West and the Batcopter

You may know him as BATMAN! The 1960’s Batman is a legend in the superhero category and will be featured on both days of the event. On Saturday June 8th you can visit with one of TV’s ultimate characters and have your picture taken with him and the Batcopter.

The 1966 Batmobile

You can tell we are a bit fanatical about Batman – he is one of our most favourite superheroes of all time! The 1966 Batmobile will be on site and available for a snapshot. Amongst the most iconic cars ever, this is a must-see if you’re heading down to the event.

Video Game Arena

Think that you’ve got what it takes to challenge Niagara’s ultimate gamers? Strut your stuff in the Video Game Arena where challenges are the modus operandi and new games are out for testing.

Cosplay Competition

Not sure of what Cosplay is? The term is short for costume play and is a style of performance art in which one wears a costume that has a specific theme. Some Cosplay outfits are themed to a particular comic book, anime series or video game. This competition will see 5 prize-winners selected by celebrity judges.

Judges:

LeeAnna Vamp is a high fashion model who also happens to be a self-proclaimed nerd girl. She is a lover of all things Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror and as the “Halloween Goddess,” seems to be the perfect fit for this competition.

Andrew Speranza hails from Toronto and has been a superhero nut since childhood. He now creates life size props and replicas of his favourite characters as a hobby turned very successful endeavor!
