Fort Erie celebrated the 200-year anniversary of the War of 1812 with the largest Bicentennial parade in North America. Throughout history, when soldiers returned home from war they were honoured with a Grande Parade, a tradition that was never extended to the soldiers who fought in the War of 1812.
The parade consisted of more than 80 units including bands, 1812 re-enactors, military units, parade floats and displays from across North America.
