There were jugglers and fire-eaters, contortionists and dancers on hand to wow the crowds at Niagara’s second annual Buskerfest held this past weekend in downtown St. Catharines. But what caught the attention of our Naturally in Niagara camera crew were The Circus Firemen – a pair of wildly athletic performers who mesmerized the crowd with feats of balance and agility – often from atop stilts and ladders.
Other Naturally in Niagara favourites were The Pogo Dudes – a troop of performers so talented, they turned pogo sticks into lightning bolts and used them to rocked their audiences to the moon and back.
Not only could these incredible athletes jump over eight feet into the air on their spring loaded pogo sticks but they also, somehow, managed to do flips and tricks in the air while they were at it. Already becoming well known on the talk show circuit, the Pogo Dudes have appeared in street festivals and buskerfests across North America and around the globe. Because we at Naturally in Niagara realize that a picture’s worth a thousand words, we invite you to tune in to our Buskerfest 2012 video and see all the magic for yourself.
