Savouring The Days of Wine and Chocolate in NOTL

Days of Wine and Chocolate are upon us with twenty-eight participating wineries offering unique and undeniably decadent chocolate and wine pairings to passport holders. Wine touring is always a divine way to spend a weekend, but with the promise of indulgence at each stop, this is a particularly good time to head over to wine country.

The beauty of this experience is the unique element offered by each winery you visit. Many will be pouring from their Icewine portfolios, but others will infuse their Icewine component in the food pairing, or will create an unexpected savoury dish using chocolate to pair well with, we’re just guessing, some Cabernet Franc or Shiraz maybe?

This event runs each weekend in February from 11:00am to 5:00pm, so there’s plenty of time to determine your itinerary! To purchase your passports please visit the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake website – they’re available online for $35 per person (plus HST). Another major bonus is the Designated Driver’s Touring Pass, new for 2013! Indulge in food pairings and a non-alcoholic beverage at each destination, for $25 per person (plus HST).
