Oyster Fest Niagara had such a draw last year, that it’s back again for another round of delicious cocktails and luscious oysters. This exciting event will once again be hosted at Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers on Sunday, June 22 from 2 pm to 8 pm.

There will be plenty to eat with 3 local favourites on hand preparing their most scrumptious food. First off is The Tide & Vine Oyster Company. Due to their unique way of bringing seafood to the consumer, The Tide and Vine has made a huge splash at wineries, Farmer’s Markets and weekend events across Niagara. The obvious pairing of Niagara Wine and their robust experience with seafood, brought them from Toronto all the way down to Niagara Falls.

El Gastrónomo Vagabundo is another mobile food vendor that you should definitely keep an eye open for. Committed to being environmentally and socially responsible, they are Ontario’s first gourmet street food truck. They feature gourmet tacos, tapas, south-east Asian dishes and garden fresh salads, all with ingredients from local organic and free range farms.

AVella’s Wood Fired Oven is the third Musketeer in the group and will be creating unique, thin crust, wood fired pizzas to appease the masses. Everything is cooked on site in only 90 seconds. They only use fresh sauce, fresh dough and fresh ingredients.

Since oysters will be the feature, it only makes sense to have 2 of Niagara’s wineries in the mix to produce some delicious pairings. Angels Gate Winery and Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery will be the connoisseurs to blend Niagara’s vineyard flavours and really tantalize your taste buds.

Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers will be providing their locally distilled spirits to create some really exceptional cocktails. All of their spirits are created from local ingredients such as Niagara wine grapes and locally sourced grain.  Their signature spirits are rye, Canadian rye whiskey, vodka, gin, bitters and fruit spirits.

For those who find themselves more of a brew master, Silver Smith Brewing Company will be dispensing some of their frothy German style Black Lager. This beer has a strong malty character with a crisp clean finish and will have anyone speaking the language of a great beer.

To keep the flow of the party upbeat, there will be some rocking live entertainment from the likes of The Black Flies and The Roxwells, and to toss in even more fun there will be The Niagara Shucking Competition and Black Box Cocktail Competition.

You can purchase tickets online. $35 includes 1 drink ticket and an oyster plate. There will also be additional food and drinks available to those who really want to indulge. This will be an exciting event for those who love to combine food, wine and beer!
