A concept founded in the fundamentals of community, Gathering Niagara is all about bringing people together to celebrate and appreciate all that is this place we call home. Founded and run by Lauren O’Malley-Norris, Gathering Niagara has a series of community building events that will have your social schedule jam-packed with exciting happenings that are new and unique.
Singles Mingle
A monthly event designed to bring together a room of single Niagarans for a night of fun and entertainment, Singles Mingle guests are asked to bring a friend of the opposite sex to maintain a balance of ladies and gentlemen for what O’Malley-Norris describes as a night of ‘fun, food and frolic!’
Stay tuned to the Gathering Niagara website for the next event announcement!
The LunchMarket
The Shaw Festival hosts a series of TIFF-nominated films throughout winter months (having just ended in February). The big idea was to bring delicious foodie fare to the film fanatic festivities in order to add the only element that could make the afternoon even better!
Co-Working NOTL
A brilliant idea that took root in St. Catharines has spread to NOTL where Gathering Niagara has found hot-spot destinations to cultivate creativity in a community of home-based professionals looking for interaction in their work day.
Currently Co-Working is happening at the Niagara on the Lake Library on Thursdays from 1:00-4:00pm.
SoMe Kaffeeklatch
Social Media demystified! This weekly get together is centred on all things social media, from the how-to fundamentals to putting strategy to work for your business/organization.
Check out this must-attend at Balzac’s Coffee in NOTL on Tuesdays at 9:30am.
Augtoberfest Beer Market
Touted as a ‘celebration of craft’, the Augtoberfest Beer Market is to take place on August 24th and 25th this summer and will feature all things craft beer. Appropriately hosted at Lakeland Meats, a mainstay in the Niagara foodie culture, this festival will showcase small batch beer, local chefs and artisans.
