Five Exciting Concerts at IlluminAqua

A combination of fire, water and live music is an incredible way to draw visitors from all over Ontario and even the United States. Opening its eighth season, IlluminAqua starts up again on June 13 in Welland with five exciting concerts throughout the summer.

Jordan Raycroft (With The Strumbellas and Andi Diaz) – June 13

Opening on June 13 will be the Seaway Mall’s Niagara’s Next Star winner Andi Diaz. Following Diaz will be the Juno Award winning group The Strumbellas, who are well-known for their bluegrass-inspired indie rock music. The headliner of the night will be Jordan Raycroft, the first Welland native to headline for IlluminAqua and will bring with him a blend of blues and rock to entertain the audience.

The Abrams Brothers (With Whitney Rose and Chelsea Crites) – July 4

Niagara’s own Chelsea Crites will open on July 4 with her wonderful country-style. Next up will be Whitney Rose, the Country Sweetheart, who will have audience members enthralled with her upbeat notes and spunky delivery. The bring the night to a high, the Adams Brothers will bring their mix of Americana and Bluegrass to the stage with their youthful energy.

Mark Masri (With Special Guests) – July 5

As a special bonus concert, Mark Masri will take to the stage for filming of his PBS Special Saturday on July 5. Masri does many renditions of popular radio hits and can sing songs in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic. He is said to be a blend of Andrea Bocelli and Luther Vandross, sure to captivate audiences throughout the night.

Florence K (With Bobby Bazini) – August 8

Juno nominated Bobby Bazini, known for his unique pop-soul stylings, will hit the stage first on August 8. Following will be Florence K who delivers a jazz-rock-blues sound that blends horns and guitars into a new beat.

Jimmy Rankin (With Beams) – August 29

Art Country folk rock band Beams sets the night with their banjo, mandolin and singing saw styles on August 29. Closing for the season will be Jimmy Rankin, of the celtic-pop  the Rankin Family. Rankin has an amazing list of hits and has won five Juno awards to boot.

Tickets can be purchased for about $20 and a season pass can be picked up for $80 and includes a Seaway Mall gift certificate of $25.
