Life Does Offer Second Chances: Week #2 of the Niagara Icewine Festival

By on 0

It’s the only good thing about frigid winter weather – the annual Niagara Icewine Festival.  Celebrated over two January weekends, this year’s version of the extravaganza kicked off in the tiny town of Jordan, with local businesses throwing open their doors to welcome local wineries and wine lovers bent on celebrating the world’s finest ice wine – Niagara’s own!

From barrel rolling competitions, to live musical performances and eager food vendors dishing up delicacies, the Jordan celebrations were a huge hit, helped in great part by a sudden dip in temperatures that set the perfect icy tone.

Missed it and mad at yourself?  No worries!  There’s another whole weekend of ice wine fun lined up – this time in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  For all the details, visit www.icewinefestival.com
