Sweet. Sparkling. Sensational! Experience.

The Twenty Valley Wineries have come together to create an incredible new wine tour rightfully called “The Sweet Sparkling Sensational Experience“! Running on February 15 and 22, this is a fantastic option for those looking for special Valentine’s Day plans.

Each winery has designed an experience that informs you, delights your senses and gives you a behind the scene look at the world of wineries and distilleries. As an added bonus, customer will enjoy complimentary shuttle service throughout their tour provided by DanNel Transportion.

“Our goal of the experience is for the consumer to walk away from this tour a little more knowledgeable about wine and spirits but also completely blown away by the day,” says JD Pachereva, Twenty Valley Tourism Executive Director.

Tour one invites you to explore temperature, texture and taste through wine and food pairings at megalomaniac: John Howard Cellars of Distinction. At Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery you will sip your way through a “winemaker’s bench trial” of her 2013 Rieslings complimented by two-bite wonders. Fielding Estate Winery will focus on challenging you to pair gourmet cheeses with different wine varietals and Vineland Estates will let you into their circle, tasting their limited edition ‘Circle of Friends’ wines as well as their evolutionary Vice cocktail.

Tour two invites you to learn about Chardonnay with winemaker Diane Smith of GreenLane Estate Winery. Then experience the production and bottling of sparkling wine the Italian way at Vieni Wines & Spirits. Malivoire Wine Company will take red wine lovers by storm with a tasting of their newly released Stouck Family Vineyards series, while Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers will feature their award winning spirits, the Unfiltered Gin 22 and Method 95 Vodka, paired with small batch artisan truffles, in one word, delicious.

On Tour three, destroy wine sweetness stereotypes with Di Profio Wines. You will create wine based cocktails at Rockway Vineyards using their award winning Patio 9 wines. Indulge in and learn about Canada’s liquid gold, Icewine, at Hernder Estate Wines hosted by their very own Ice Princess, Lydia Tomek. This tour is rounded out with a unique tasting of big, bold reds of Rosewood Estates Winery.

Tour four invites you to explore Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery with their award winning Cuvée Catherine Sparkling wines in hand. At Flat Rock Cellars learn how to become a SuperTaster with guidance from owner Ed Madronich. Cave Spring Cellars will wipe away your February blues while you sip their Blanc de Blancs Brut and enjoy a cooking demonstration from On the Twenty Restaurant Chef, Frank Romano. 13th Street Winery is getting back to basics with a lesson on how to pair food and wine including pairing their famously delicious, bacon butter tarts.
