Exciting Changes for Springlicious!

Springlicious

Come celebrate Niagara Falls’ Old Downtown with the uniquely grown Springlicious Festival, featuring culinary delights from over 50 vendors,  a huge assortment of beer and wine, incredible bands and plenty of fun activities for the younger visitors. Running from May 29 -31, this popular yearly event has been formally recognized by the Mayor, City Council, Niagara Region and the Downtown Board of Management as municipally significant with last year alone seeing more than 30,000 people.

This year will see a more child-oriented daytime followed by a adult-oriented night-time. The biggest pull for the kids will be the new carnival area with 12 rides and 10 games from Magical Midways. There will also be popular mascots such as Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” and the hilarious minion from “Dispicable Me”. The little ones can also look forward to talented face painters, balloon twisters and interactive magic shows.

A new and very exciting event this year is “Operation Queen”, which is an interactive outdoor puzzle hunting adventure run by the local company “Escape Room“. Your mission will be to find agents and clues hidden throughout the Springlicious Festival and ultimately unlock the final challenge.

The exciting headliner for this year’s event with be Vancouver’s popular “54-40” on May 30. Playing for more than 30 years, the band is seen as a combination of Modern Rock and Post Punk. 54-40 has a legacy of gold and platinum albums and credits their longevity to being able to redefine and reinvent themselves through the years. Springlicious will also have local “The KaC Himself” performing on stage May 31.

These big changes and the hopes of good weather could potentially see a turnout around the 40,000 mark!
